Sesame Street Live in Grand Rapids
This afternoon we took Matthew to see Sesame Street at the Van Andel Arena.

Fun at Lowe's Build & Grow
We had fun this morning at Lowe's Build & Grow. Today we made a race car that really goes! We love going to these events and making the toys together.

Matthew can spell his name - M-A-T-T-H-E-W
Matthew is having a fun time telling us the letters to his name and he's doing pretty good at it too. Sometimes he says "METTHEW" and misses the "A", but he will catch on. We are so proud of him! He also can recognize the letter "M" and "W". He loves pointing out the letter "M" anytime he sees one!

Happy 3rd Gotcha Day Matthew!
I can't believe that it was 3 years ago today that we FINALLY made it back to the baby house to get our little Matthew.
I will never forget the 64 days between trip 1 and 2 that seemed like an eternity! I also will never forget the moment I saw one of the mama's bring him out of the little room where he slept at and finally he was in my arms again....... and forever! It's crazy to believe that this past May I was on the mission trip back to Matthew's baby house and into the same room where I found the love of my life!
So for today's 3rd Gotcha Day celebration we had a yummy cake and Matthew also got a dump truck as a gift. When Matthew saw the cake he yelled with a smile on his face "Daddy, My birthday cake. I'm 4". I said "No Matthew, this is your Gotcha Day cake", and he yelled in excitement "Daddy, it's my Gotcha Day cake". I don't think he gets it quite yet.
It was a fun evening at home together.

Pumpkin patch & farm visit

Matthew's first soccer game
Today was the end of Matthew's soccer season - 5 practices ending in a game today.
It was so much fun watching him run after the ball, get distracted, and just have a good time.
The season ended with him getting a medal for playing. We all had fun. Hopefully he will want to play again next fall.
